Pre-Operative Care

Our pre-operative rehab focuses on strengthening and conditioning the body, reducing pain, and improving mobility. By enhancing your physical fitness before surgery, we aim to reduce complications, shorten recovery time, and improve overall outcomes.

Post-Operative Care

After surgery, our tailored rehab programs help restore strength, flexibility, and function. We work closely with you to manage pain, prevent stiffness, and promote healing, guiding you through every step of your recovery journey.

Pre- and post-operative care is crucial for a wide range of surgeries, especially those that significantly impact mobility, function, or general health. Some types of surgeries that commonly require such care are:

Orthopedic Surgeries

  • Joint Replacement (e.g., Hip, Knee, Shoulder): Rehab helps strengthen muscles around the joint before surgery and assists in regaining mobility and function post-surgery.

  • Spinal Surgery (e.g., Fusion, Discectomy): Pre-operative care focuses on core strength and flexibility, while post-op rehab aids in pain management and restoring movement.

  • Arthroscopy (e.g., Knee, Shoulder, Ankle): Both pre- and post-operative care can help improve recovery by maintaining strength and mobility around the joint.

Cardiovascular Surgeries

  • Heart Bypass Surgery: Pre-op care may involve improving cardiovascular fitness, while post-op rehab is essential for rebuilding strength, endurance, and ensuring a healthy recovery.

  • Valve Replacement or Repair: Similar to bypass surgery, rehabilitation helps the patient gradually return to normal activities and improve overall heart health.

Abdominal Surgeries

  • Hernia Repair: Pre-op exercises can strengthen the abdominal muscles, and post-op care is focused on pain management, preventing complications, and gradually returning to activity.

  • Bariatric Surgery: Pre-op care may include weight management and fitness, while post-op rehab supports weight loss goals, mobility, and lifestyle adjustments.

Neurological Surgeries

  • Brain or Spine Tumor Removal: Rehab helps patients regain motor skills, strength, and coordination affected by surgery.

  • Stroke-Related Surgeries: Pre-operative care may focus on improving overall fitness, while post-op rehab is critical for regaining function and independence.

Oncological Surgeries

  • Breast Cancer Surgery (e.g., Mastectomy, Lumpectomy): Pre-op care can involve maintaining upper body strength, and post-op rehab focuses on mobility, reducing scar tissue, and managing lymphedema.

  • Prostate Surgery: Pre- and post-op rehab can help with pelvic floor strengthening and managing side effects like incontinence.

Gastrointestinal Surgeries

  • Colorectal Surgery: Rehab can improve recovery by enhancing mobility, managing pain, and preventing complications like adhesions or bowel obstruction.

Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeries

  • Reconstructive Surgery (e.g., after trauma or cancer): Rehab helps restore function and appearance, focusing on scar management and muscle strengthening.

  • Cosmetic Surgery (e.g., Abdominoplasty, Liposuction): Post-op care aids in recovery, reducing swelling, and ensuring optimal results.
